Yay!!! New Business Cards!!!

In my renewed effort to take over the world, I had a bunch of business cards made--thought I'd share them with you! I think they are pretty awesome and dig how I put down Flaneur as one of my descriptors! Sweet!

The End of an Era! After over two exciting years, the Orange Splot closes!

The doors won't officially close till sometime in the next couple of weeks, and us artists don't have to pick up our art quite yet; but for all intents and purposes last night was the last night of the Orange Splot Gallery. It was a great show, with new work by all the regulars and Nick Beery was back from Chicago to blow us all away! Two exciting years, wherein we have all grown so much as artists and have become really good friends. I know that I personally have grown so much since that first painting commissioned by an ex-girlfriend for her wall three or so years ago...

By the end of the night, we all came away with some art sold and some art traded with fellow artists. Afterward, "Henry", Kevin, Wes and I trudged, (like the Zombies that had earlier filled the Fremont streets in an effort to get into the Guinness Book of World Records) to one of the places we always seem to end up and had a great time and a good-natured argument about life, love and sex. I sometimes forget how lucky I have always been and how I have never lost that magical gleam in my eye, but I don't want to say too much about the secret rites that went on that night under the watchful gaze of the silver moon. To tell too much is punishable by death or severe mutilation--or at least that's what Henry said, but I think he was joking...I hope he was joking...I hope I haven't already said too much.

Three things I've got going. These are three things that I'm working on at the moment. Have to figure out what sort of background to put on the Bambiesque piece. Hey, fellow artists how often do you start with the background versus the foreground?

Faire Gallery Cafe Art Auction

The Faire Gallery recently held an Art Auction and I was proud to donate a few pieces. Including this one up top. Lots of fun was had and I got to hang out with friends I haven't seen in ages.

Between Heaven and Hell at the Orange Splot

Just had a great new Opening at the Orange Splot. All sorts of new work in the big room at the Gallery. Come take a look and let me know what you think!

This is a brief sample of some of the artists currently showing artwork at the Orange Splot Gallery in Fremont. These guys are pretty cool and the monthly openings are a blast since all the artists generally show up and hang out.

I am currently working on a new painting. This one in the yellow, haven't yet decided what I'm going to do with the background or even with her body etc. So if you have any ideas, feel free to send them my way.

Once its done it should be at the Orange Splot in Fremont.

So Nedra Rivera Huntington talked me into making a blog space for my artwork while I ponder making a website for my work. I'll also probably use this space to share interesting things that are going on in my life and musings that pop into my head. I'm pretty new to this site and all that it has to offer so it may take a moment for me to take full advantage of it, but either way, welcome to my site and I hope you have fun being here.
